Good Local Posts
- I actually am a little bummed about this post, as Andrew Gelman punts instead of engaging, but an interesting question on setting up a prior distribution in experimental analysis.
- Wesley Aptekar-Cassels looked into an oft-cited study on code review and found issues with the data/charts that are being used.
- David Robinson wrote about starting a data science blog, which is tremendously good advice, I think.
Miscellany
- A thoughtful, if sobering, post on the inverse relationship between how much a company needs to care about analysis and their potential for profit.
- Erik Bernhardsson wrote about toxic meeting culture which is food for thought for me, especially around allowing calendar availability be a prioritization filter; if I have one work-related new years resolution, it's around that.
