A fun interactive game from Logan Williams: how long can you go on the subway without visiting the same station twice?
Tushar Ghotikar of Cockroach Labs ran AI Agent-based load testing between CRDB and PostgreSQL. Interesting to me to see tests run this way: I’d love to look under the hood. Unsurprisingly this post makes CRDB look very good (they make it and it’s good tech!), but a couple of the setup parameters look a touch fishy to me. Setting Postgres to 5,000 connections without any pooling wouldn’t get past code review most places, and setting a 4MB query memory limit seems plausible for a transactional system but I wonder if it’s generating unnecessary disk writes.
“We pay tenants across NYC to install an IP camera outside of their unit to monitor [restaurant lines]”. Fun idea with some cool analytics!

I have seen several people discussing Lenny Rachitsky’s post about Data Science work now being ‘reviewing half-assed AI data analysis from PMs and engineers’. I haven’t seen much of this yet myself, but maybe I’m just a late adopter. I’m curious if the rest of you are seeing this: let me know!
